Learn how it works

How owlsignals.io Works

owlsignals.io generates real-time CALL and PUT binary options signals for the top forex pairs. Here's everything you need to know.

How to Use

1

Seed your forex pairs

Go to Settings and click "Seed Top 10 Forex Pairs" to add the major pairs (EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY, etc.). You can also add or remove any pair manually.

2

Wait for signals

The system automatically fetches candle data every 1 minute (for 1min timeframe) and every 5 minutes (for 5min timeframe). After fetching, it computes indicators and generates CALL/PUT/SKIP signals for each pair.

3

Read the dashboard

Each signal card shows the pair, direction (CALL/PUT), confidence %, recommended expiry, and the key indicators. Click any card to see its chart.

4

Filter by confidence

Use the confidence filter (All, 25%+, 50%+, 75%+) to only see strong signals. Higher confidence = more indicators agreeing on the direction.

5

Follow the expiry

Each signal shows a recommended expiry time (e.g. 5m or 15m). This is the window in which you should expect the price to move in the predicted direction.

6

Get notified

Enable sound notifications from the navbar. You'll hear an ascending tone for CALL signals, descending for PUT, and a neutral ping for updates. Browser notifications also appear.

How Signals Are Generated

Every signal is computed from 6 technical indicators running on recent OHLCV (Open, High, Low, Close, Volume) candle data fetched from Twelve Data. Each indicator votes CALL or PUT. The more indicators that agree, the higher the confidence.

RSI (Relative Strength Index)

Period: 7 (short)

Measures momentum on a 0-100 scale. Short period (7) makes it more responsive for binary options.

CALLRSI < 25 (oversold)
PUTRSI > 75 (overbought)

Stochastic Oscillator

Period: 14, Signal: 3

The #1 binary options indicator. Tracks %K and %D lines. Crossovers in extreme zones are strong signals.

CALL%K crosses above %D below 25
PUT%K crosses below %D above 75

Williams %R

Period: 14

Oscillator from -100 to 0. Confirms oversold/overbought conditions from RSI and Stochastic.

CALLW%R < -80 (oversold)
PUTW%R > -20 (overbought)

MACD Histogram

Fast: 12, Slow: 26, Signal: 9

Detects momentum shifts. A histogram crossing zero signals a change in trend direction.

CALLHistogram crosses from negative to positive
PUTHistogram crosses from positive to negative

SMA (Simple Moving Average)

Period: 20

Shows the trend direction. Price above SMA = uptrend, below = downtrend.

CALLPrice > SMA(20)
PUTPrice < SMA(20)

Bollinger Bands

Period: 20, StdDev: 2

Measures volatility. Price touching the lower band often bounces up (mean reversion) — great for binary options.

CALLPrice near lower band (< 10%)
PUTPrice near upper band (> 90%)

Understanding the Signal

CALL

Price is expected to go UP

Multiple indicators show oversold conditions or bullish momentum. On your broker, place a CALL (or "Higher") trade with the recommended expiry.

PUT

Price is expected to go DOWN

Multiple indicators show overbought conditions or bearish momentum. Place a PUT (or "Lower") trade with the recommended expiry.

SKIP

No clear direction — do not trade

The indicators are mixed or neutral. Skip this pair and wait for a clearer signal. Patience is key in binary options.

Confidence % explained

0-25%
Weak — only 1 indicator supports the direction. Not recommended.
25-50%
Moderate — 2-3 indicators agree. Use with caution.
50-75%
Strong — 4+ indicators agree. Good opportunity.
75%+
Very strong — most indicators align. High-confidence trade.

Recommended expiry times

The expiry = a few candles ahead. Signals predict short-term momentum, so the expiry must match the chart timeframe. Too short and you catch noise; too long and the signal conditions have already changed.

1min chart5 minute expiry (5 candles ahead) — very short-term, fast but noisier
5min chart15 minute expiry (3 candles ahead) — the sweet spot, cleaner and more reliable

Why not a longer expiry? The indicators measure short-term momentum. RSI(7) only looks at the last 7 candles and Stochastic at 14. If you set a 1-hour expiry on a 1min signal, market conditions will have completely changed by then — making the original prediction meaningless.

Practical Example — CALL trade

Say at 10:00 AM the 5min chart shows EUR/USD with these indicator readings:

RSI(7)22OVERSOLDBelow 25 = strong CALL signal
Stochastic %K18 > 15BULLISH CROSS%K crossed above %D below 25
Williams %R-85OVERSOLDBelow -80 = confirms CALL
CALLEUR/USD15m expiry75%

3 out of 6 indicators strongly agree on CALL direction. Confidence: 75%.

1

Open your binary options broker and select EUR/USD.

2

Place a CALL (or "Higher") trade with expiry at 10:15 AM (15 minutes from the signal time of 10:00 AM).

3

At 10:15 AM, if EUR/USD is even 0.0001 higher than the price at 10:00 AM — you win.

Tip: Only trade signals with 50%+ confidence. Use the confidence filter on the dashboard to hide weak signals. And always practice proper money management — never risk more than 2-5% of your balance on a single trade.

Practical Example — PUT trade

At 2:30 PM the 5min chart shows GBP/USD:

RSI(7)82OVERBOUGHT
Stochastic %K88 < 91BEARISH CROSS
Bollinger Band95%UPPER BAND
PUTGBP/USD15m expiry67%

Place a PUT trade on GBP/USD with expiry at 2:45 PM. If the price is lower at 2:45 PM than it was at 2:30 PM — you win.
